CORI: Gin Motes Processing

Situated in the cotton-growing heartland, CORI gives a new life to cotton waste.
Spread across 35'000 m2 of land, CORI's plant at Bobo-Dioulasso, can stock up to 30'000 bales of cotton on a sheltered-site.

There exists a method of processing relatively inexpensive gin motes to reclaim the spinnable but normally waste cotton fibers suitable for subsequent processing into yarns.

The method involves collecting the cotton waste as soon as possible to guarantee quality before hand-cleaning the gin motes to produce reclaimed spinnable fibers that may be further processed by conventional methods, which CORI then markets as bales of cotton for use in open-end spinning.

At the end of the conveyor belt, each bale is registered, wrapped, weighed, stamped with our logo before being carefully stored in warehouses. Controllers monitor the entire process to ensure that we maintain the highest quality for the gin mote cotton we export.

When you buy CORI cotton, our extensive experience gives you Mambo Commodities guarantee of a product that respects the quality of the fibre's origin.
